DON’T HIKE ALONE!
Today we live in a new world. If you have a website, use Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn, you know that pen and paper are out and SEO, CTA and a whole host of new acronyms make for an ever-changing vocabulary.
A while back we attended a Hartford Hug meeting, at reSET (located in Hartford, CT). 710 Studios, a HubSpot certified partner, hosts the monthly event. Michael and Heather, owners of 710 Studios, are down to earth, hard-working experts at getting your and your business found on-line. They are hands-on, in- person professionals that won’t ship you off to someone else when your project is mid-stream.
One thing that really caught our attention at the HUG was a tool for grading websites. Just like when we were back in school, there is a grade for everything! So why share this now? Well, if you are thinking of starting a business, already have a business, or want to grow your business, going it alone is not a good idea. Today there is so much knowledge needed to put yourself out there that creating an expert team is a must.
It takes a world of partnerships and connections to make your dream into reality. Self-importance, fear, and in-action do not add up to success. Plus, you can’t hesitate to reach-out. Do you want to share what makes your heart beat fast, or hide it under your bed and hope that the perfect “someday” will come along to share it? Today could be that perfect day. What keeps you from making today the day?
We recently did exactly this – we re-launched and re-focused One Community Programs to create Conscious Pioneer. For us, this meant engaging BOTH our hearts and an expert team to help us develop our new brand (The Curious Ink ), our website (Theresa Kibler), photos (Laurel Housden), and an on-line strategy (Sheri Rosenthal); all of this to learn and master the skills required to share our vision in a new context.
